Your Membership

Information for students

Your purple smart card (your student ID) is also your library card. You will need it to gain access to the buildings and check out library items.

Here is a general overview of the subject resources provided at each campus:

 

City Campus 

Level 5 : Accountancy, Business, Management, Built Environment, Art & Design, Photography, Television, Acting & Performance, Sports Coaching, Geography, Cookery & Bakery, Hair & Beauty

Level 4 : Computing, Journalism, Law, Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Events, Languages & ESOL, Food Science, Sport Science, Care, Social Sciences 

Riverside Campus Nautical & Maritime Studies, Engineering 

In addition to books, journals/magazines & DVDs, students and staff have access to all of our e-resources. Our digital library consisting of e-books, e-journals, image databases, multimedia resources and industry databases are available 24/7 from within the College and anywhere with an Internet connection. 

Information for staff

Staff are encouraged to take advantage of library services and facilities. We stock a large selection of resources to keep you up-to-date in your subject field and to support your Continuing Professional Development.

We work in collaboration with staff to ensure that our collection reflects and meets the needs of the curriculum. If you have any questions or suggestions regarding resource provision for your course(s) please contact us or fill out our Recommend a Purchase form.

We also offer a range of in-house workshops that lecturers and tutors can book for their classes. Comprehensive subject guides and study guides are also available.
